M.Tech Program in Power Systems Management

The changing scenario of power system industries and the growing need for technically skilled professionals, demand the traditional power engineers to be in sync with industry needs. To scrutinize this challenge, The Department of Electrical Engineering, MNIT Jaipur offers a unique program leading to the award of M.Tech. Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems Management). This job-oriented course is designed with a proper blend of technical as well as managerial knowledge and also imparts programming skills required in industries, enabling the students for readily absorption in the Sector. This curriculum provides a cohesive understanding of system operation and control, system restructuring and deregulation, power market economics, data analytics, market and network regulation, renewable integration, and governance and policies.
Impart knowledge on electrical power system operation and planning and smart grid systems.
Impart knowledge and skills for decision making in rapidly evolving electricity and energy supply industry. Develop graduates with a strong understanding of electricity markets, renewable integration, smart grid systems, planning and data analytics.
Imbibe knowledge of modern programming tools (GAMS, PYTHON, PSS®E, MATLAB, etc.) for solving industry research challenges.
Enhance managerial skills with a strong understanding on underlying economics and regulation.
Develop a pool of trained scholars, professionals, officials and consultants for the exponentially growing industry segment.
